Let’s start the day with something happy! Apparently because of the crisis in politics, continued missiles from Yemen (today I woke up to the alarm in the morning from a ballistic missile from Yemen, I sat in a shelter and arrived later at work because that’s life and I have to pay taxes), demonstrations, etc. Israel has dropped in the World Happiness Index.
You won’t believe that Israel is now on …………. 8th place in the world!
Last year we were in 7th.
It seems that Israelis live without any connection to what is happening around and if there were no missiles in Yemen this morning and a legal advisor’s refusal to come to a government meeting for a hearing before her dismissal, Israel would have bypassed Finland by a wide margin.
In the annual report of the World Happiness Index, based on data from the Oxford Center for the Study of Well-being and the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
The World Happiness Report is an international research project that measures the happiness of people in countries around the world. The study is conducted by the Earth Institute and the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, a research center sponsored by the United Nations.
The annual country ranking ranks 147 countries by happiness, based on the average life scores of their residents.
Another bad joke from the same report, in third place is Iceland, where people in Iceland are so happy that they are also in the first places in consumers of antidepressants and anxiety medications.
For your information, the 10 happiest countries in the world:
Finland;
Denmark;
Iceland;
Sweden;
Holland;
Costa Rica;
Norway;
Israel;
Luxembourg;
Mexico.
